Any surface can be painted with a forge

Several weeks ago (how time flies…) we asked the Handbox community to demonstrate the performance of our forging paint on any surface.

Taking the first step

The Handbox bloggers were asked to design a DIY project using a variety of materials. We did not care whether it was plastic, cardboard, glass, or wood. We just asked them to do something surprising with whatever materials they choose. The only requirement is that they finish the work with Pintyplus forge and publish the final result without revealing the materials used. To reward the blogger who developed the most creative idea, the jury selected him to attend the 2017 Paperworld international fair in Frankfurt.

Challenge number two

As soon as the projects were published, we challenged the networks to find out what materials were used to make the projects. The winners won a batch of Pintyplus products and we guarantee that it was almost impossible to tell whether the forge had a metal, cardboard or plastic base, to give three examples.

Iziar from Itzidreams won the contest with a lantern painted in red Pintyplus forge like the one in the image.

You can see from the following image that almost every material was used to build the lantern, including metal, glass, plastic, wood, and so on.

The materials used for this project are as follows, but you can’t believe it. It would take a god and a lot of help to reproduce it as Itziar did.

We see parts of the process on this grill, so there is no doubt:

I don’t think there is much more to say, since the originality of the project speaks for itself. Now we only have to paint in thin and continuous layers until the boat is covered.

The lights even come on…

Forge-able surfaces

The following are some of the materials that the Pintyplus forge worked perfectly with in other challenges:

  • The wood

  • A variety of plastics

  • (Various types of metal)

  • The string

  • Species of fiber

  • The crystals and the glass

  • Boxes of paper

  • It’s wax

  • The fabric

In addition to posting jobs here, we will also be posting on Facebook and other social networks. We look forward to hearing from you.
